New York High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon overwhelms Ramapo

(December 12, 2007: Mt. Vernon, NY 10552) Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Vernon Knights (Mt. Vernon, NY) and the visiting Ramapo Gryphons (Spring Valley, NY), saw Mt. Vernon's basketball squad trounce Ramapo by a score of 100-60.

With the victory, Mt. Vernon improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Roosevelt (Honolulu, HI) to battle the Rough Riders in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 18. The Rough Riders come into the challenge with a record of 0-4. Roosevelt lost 46-37 in their recent non-league challenge against Waipahu (Waipahu, HI)

Coming up next, the Gryphons meet the Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, December 15. Ramapo will attempt to better on its 1-4 season record. The Middie Bears come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 85-56 non-league win over Warwick (Warwick, NY).
