New York High School Football - Putnam Valley prevails Edgemont

(September 20, 2007: Scarsdale, NY 10583) The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Putnam Valley Tigers (Putnam Valley, NY) and the host Edgemont Panthers (Scarsdale, NY), observed Putnam Valley's football squad defeat Edgemont by a count of 21-7.

The Tigers now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Peekskill for a non-league contest on Saturday, September 29. Putnam Valley will play a Red Devils squad coming off a 27-8 non-league loss to Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY). The Red Devils record now stands at 0-3.

Coming up next, the Panthers play the Hastings Yellow Jackets (Hastings on Hudson, NY) in a non-league contest, on Friday, September 28. Edgemont will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Yellow Jackets go into the contest with a 1-2 record after their 31-14 league win over Dover (Dover Plains, NY).
