New York High School Football - Beacon nips Spring Valley

(September 20, 2007: Spring Valley, NY 10977) In Thursday's league match, the visiting Beacon Bulldogs football squad scored a close 18-16 victory over the Spring Valley Tigers.

In their next game, the Bulldogs clash with the Eastchester Eagles (Eastchester, NY) in a Section 1 A - League B match, on Saturday, September 29. Beacon will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 3-0 record after their 33-0 league win over Port Chester (Port Chester, NY).

The Tigers (0-3) will now prepare for their match against Our Lady of Lourdes (Poughkeepsie, NY). The Warriors enter the Section 1 A - League B match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Our Lady of Lourdes held off Peekskill (Peekskill, NY), 27-8, in a non-league match.
