(February 8, 2008: Pinetops, NC 27864) In Friday's league match, the visiting Rocky Mount Gryphons basketball team scored a good 66-58 win over the Southwest Edgecombe Cougars.
The Gryphons (7-5) will now prepare for their test against Fike (Wilson, NC). The Demons go into the NEW 6 test with a 17-5 record. In their last test, Fike defeated Nash Central (Nashville, NC), 65-54, in a league test.
The Cougars now own a 13-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Southern Nash for a NEW 6 test on Tuesday, February 12.
