North Carolina High School Basketball - Nash Central holds off Southwest Edgecombe
(January 18, 2008: Nashville, NC 27856) Nash Central Bulldogs (Nashville, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Southwest Edgecombe Cougars (Pinetops, NC), 71-65 in a league bout.
With the victory, Nash Central upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Fike (Wilson, NC) to play the Demons in a NEW 6 bout on Tuesday, January 22. The Demons come into the bout with a record of 14-2. Fike won 60-50 in their recent league bout against Northern Nash (Rocky Mount, NC)
Next up, the Cougars play the Rocky Mount Gryphons (Rocky Mount, NC) in a NEW 6 bout, on Tuesday, January 22. Southwest Edgecombe will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record.
