(February 12, 2008: Wilson, NC 27893) The Fike Demons basketball team scored 76 points and held the visiting Rocky Mount Gryphons to 75 in the Demons league triumph on Tuesday.
The Demons now sport a 18-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southern Nash for a NEW 6 contest on Friday, February 15. Fike will meet a Firebirds team coming off a 68-57 league loss to Southwest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC). The Firebirds record now stands at 3-8.
The Gryphons (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Nash Central (Nashville, NC). The Bulldogs enter the NEW 6 contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Nash Central was nudged by Fike (Wilson, NC), 65-54, in a league contest.
