West Virginia High School Basketball - Wirt County nudges Roane County

(February 4, 2008: Elizabeth, WV 26143) In Monday's league outing, the Wirt County Tigers (Elizabeth, WV) basketball squad edged the visiting Roane County Raiders (Spencer, WV), by a count of 53-46.

The Tigers (11-9) will now prepare for their outing against South Harrison (Lost Creek, WV). The Hawks go into the Little Kanawha outing with a 13-5 record. In their last outing, South Harrison nipped Roane County (Spencer, WV), 47-43, in a league outing.

The Raiders now hold a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they host Clay County for a Little Kanawha outing on Tuesday, February 5.
