West Virginia High School Basketball - Point Pleasant thwarts Roane County

(February 12, 2008: Point Pleasant, WV 25550) The Point Pleasant Knights (Point Pleasant, WV) basketball felled the visiting Roane County Raiders (Spencer, WV), 59-42 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Knights (3-16) will now prepare for their test against Hannan (Ashton, WV). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 3-14 record. In their last test, Hannan went down by South Gallia (Crown City, OH), 63-50, in a non-league test.

The Raiders now own a 5-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ritchie County for a Little Kanawha test on Thursday, February 14. Roane County will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 56-55 league win over St. Marys (St. Marys, WV). The Rebels record now stands at 5-12.
