Louisiana High School Basketball - St. Edmund holds off Pine Prairie

(November 27, 2007: Eunice, LA 70535) St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA), 43-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, St. Edmund upgrades its record to 1-4 on the season. The Fighting Blue Jays travel to Elton (Elton, LA) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, November 30. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 1-5. Elton lost 66-38 in their recent non-league bout against Welsh (Welsh, LA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Sacred Heart Trojans (Ville Platte, LA) in a 2A District 6 bout, on Wednesday, November 28. Pine Prairie will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 1-5 record after their 69-50 non-league loss to Elizabeth (Elizabeth, LA).
