(December 6, 2007: Opelousas, LA 70570) The Northwest Raiders basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Ville Platte Bulldogs to 66 in the Raiders non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Raiders now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Opelousas for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 8. Northwest will meet a Tigers team coming off a 61-54 non-league win over Catholic (New Iberia, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 4-3.

The Bulldogs (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Beau Chene (Arnaudville, LA). The Gators enter the non-league contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, Beau Chene was nudged by Crowley (Crowley, LA), 37-36, in a non-league contest.
