Louisiana High School Basketball - Kinder falls to Vinton

(January 25, 2008: Kinder, LA 70648) The Vinton Lions basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Kinder Yellowjackets to 54 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.

The Lions now sport a 18-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sulphur for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 29. Vinton will meet a Golden Tors team coming off a 104-58 non-league win over Vinton (Vinton, LA). The Golden Tors record now stands at 25-5.

The Yellowjackets (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Arthur (Lake Arthur, LA). The Tigers enter the 2A District 5 contest with a 16-7 record. In their last contest, Lake Arthur ran past Welsh (Welsh, LA), 68-64, in a league contest.
