(December 29, 2007: Metairie, LA 70005) Metairie Park Country Day Cajuns (Metairie, LA) followers exited the stadium happy Saturday as they observed their basketball team defeat the visiting Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA), 45-37 in a non-league contest.

The Cajuns now sport a 6-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Destrehan for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 29. Metairie Park Country Day will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 58-48 non-league win over St. Scholastica (Covington, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-10.

Coming up next, the Panthers confront the Mamou Demons (Mamou, LA) in a 2A District 6 contest, on Friday, January 4. Pine Prairie will attempt to better on its 8-8 season record. The Demons enter the contest with a 11-8 record after their 46-30 league win over Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA).
