Louisiana High School Basketball - Delhi overwhelms Block

(January 22, 2008: Delhi, LA 71232) Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Delhi Bears (Delhi, LA) and the visiting Block Bears (Jonesville, LA), saw Delhi's basketball squad trounce Block by a score of 78-55.

With the victory, Delhi improves its record to 20-6 on the campaign. The Bears host Mangham (Mangham, LA) to play the Dragons in a 1A District 4 challenge on Friday, January 25. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 0-16.

Next up, the Bears play the St. Mary Tigers (Natchitoches, LA) in a 1A District 3 challenge, on Friday, January 25. Block will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-18 record after their 74-71 league win over Montgomery (Montgomery, LA).
