Louisiana High School Basketball - Ascension Catholic ripped by Episcopal

(December 22, 2007: Baton Rouge, LA 70816) The Episcopal Knights basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Ascension Catholic Bulldogs to 40 in the Knights non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Knights now sport a 19-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chelsea for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 27. Episcopal will confront a Hornets team coming off a 71-53 non-league loss to Smiths Station (Smiths, AL). The Hornets record now stands at 5-6.

The Bulldogs (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Pointe Coupee Central (Morganza, LA). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Pointe Coupee Central trounced Avoyelles (Moreauville, LA), 75-61, in a non-league contest.
