Louisiana High School Basketball - North DeSoto falls to Jena

(January 25, 2008: Stonewall, LA 71078) The Jena Giants basketball team scored 70 points and held the host North DeSoto Griffins to 62 in the Giants league triumph on Friday.

The Giants now sport a 13-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Calvin for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 29. Jena will confront a Cougars team coming off a 67-54 non-league win over Caldwell Parish (Columbia, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 37-1.

The Griffins (10-12) will now prepare for their bout against Calvary Baptist Academy (Shreveport, LA). The Cavaliers come into the non-league bout with a 4-19 record. In their last bout, Calvary Baptist Academy was dropped by Lakeside (Sibley, LA), 47-33, in a league bout.
