Louisiana High School Basketball - Red River crushes Menard

(January 22, 2008: Alexandria, LA 71303) Red River Bulldogs (Coushatta, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Menard Eagles (Alexandria, LA), 80-13 in a league bout.

With the win, Red River upgrades its record to 6-17 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Lakeview (Campti, LA) to play the Gators in a 2A District 3 bout on Friday, January 25. The Gators go into the bout with a record of 5-18. Lakeview lost 97-73 in their recent non-league bout against Ruston (Ruston, LA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Pitkin Tigers (Pitkin, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 24. Menard will attempt to upgrade on its 0-24 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 21-7 record after their 61-49 league win over Hornbeck (Hornbeck, LA).
