Louisiana High School Basketball - Anacoco can't hold off Simpson

(January 22, 2008: Anacoco, LA 71403) The Simpson Broncos basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Anacoco Indians to 40 in the Broncos league triumph on Tuesday.

The Broncos now sport a 10-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Evans for a B District 5 contest on Friday, January 25. Simpson will meet a Eagles team coming off a 67-38 league loss to Hicks (Leesville, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-26.

The Indians (13-14) will now prepare for their contest against Pitkin (Pitkin, LA). The Tigers enter the B District 5 contest with a 15-13 record. In their last contest, Pitkin was nudged by Hornbeck (Hornbeck, LA), 49-26, in a league contest.
