Louisiana High School Basketball - Pineville holds off Peabody

(November 30, 2007: Pineville, LA 71360) Pineville Rebels (Pineville, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA), 58-52 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pineville upgrades its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Menard (Alexandria, LA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 1. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 7-2. Menard won 54-29 in their recent non-league bout against Rapides (Lecompte, LA)

Next up, the Warhorses play the Marksville Tigers (Marksville, LA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, December 4. Peabody will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 13-0 record after their 59-32 non-league win over Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA).
