Louisiana High School Basketball - Simpson nudges Hornbeck

(February 5, 2008: Hornbeck, LA 71439) Simpson Broncos (Simpson, LA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the host Hornbeck Hornets (Hornbeck, LA), 65-58 in a league bout.

With the win, Simpson upgrades its record to 26-11 on the season. The Broncos host Anacoco (Anacoco, LA) to encounter the Indians in a B District 5 bout on Friday, February 8. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 17-16.

Next up, the Hornets encounter the Pitkin Tigers (Pitkin, LA) in a B District 5 bout, on Friday, February 8. Hornbeck will attempt to upgrade on its 20-16 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 24-8 record after their 62-38 league win over Hicks (Leesville, LA).
