Louisiana High School Basketball - Natchitoches Central prevails Ouachita Parish

(February 1, 2008: Monroe, LA 71203) Natchitoches Central Chiefs (Natchitoches, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA), 50-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Natchitoches Central upgrades its record to 28-6 on the season. The Chiefs host Ruston (Ruston, LA) to play the Bearcats in a 5A District 2 bout on Tuesday, February 5. The Bearcats go into the bout with a record of 10-19. Ruston lost 54-43 in their recent league bout against West Monroe (West Monroe, LA)

Next up, the Lions play the West Monroe Rebels (West Monroe, LA) in a 5A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 5. Ouachita Parish will attempt to upgrade on its 31-7 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 23-6 record after their 54-43 league win over Ruston (Ruston, LA).
