Louisiana High School Basketball - Pineville winner over Avoyelles
(January 4, 2008: Pineville, LA 71360) The Pineville Rebels (Pineville, LA) basketball knocked off the visiting Avoyelles Mustangs (Moreauville, LA), 69-60 in Friday's non-league test.
The Rebels (11-9) will now prepare for their test against LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA). The Gators go into the non-league test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, LaGrange was beaten by Natchitoches Central (Natchitoches, LA), 48-28, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 9-10 record. They take the field next when they host Grant for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 8. Avoyelles will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 85-48 non-league loss to Rapides (Lecompte, LA). The Cougars record now stands at 14-6.
