Louisiana High School Basketball - East Beauregard holds off Pickering
(February 1, 2008: DeRidder, LA 70634) East Beauregard Trojans (DeRidder, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nip the visiting Pickering Red Devils (Leesville, LA), 48-46 in a league bout.
With the win, East Beauregard upgrades its record to 10-14 on the season. The Trojans travel to Oakdale (Oakdale, LA) to play the Warriors in a 2A District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 5. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 17-5. Oakdale won 59-45 in their recent league bout against South Beauregard (Longville, LA)
Next up, the Red Devils play the DeQuincy Tigers (DeQuincy, LA) in a 2A District 4 bout, on Tuesday, February 5. Pickering will attempt to upgrade on its 15-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 3-10 record after their 80-51 league loss to Rosepine (Rosepine, LA).
