Louisiana High School Basketball - Glenmora can't hold off Hicks

(December 1, 2007: Leesville, LA 71446) The Hicks Pirates basketball team scored 25 points and held the visiting Glenmora Wildcats to 23 in the Pirates non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Pirates now sport a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Singer for a non-league contest on Tuesday, December 4. Hicks will meet a Hornets team coming off a 41-34 non-league loss to Bell City (Bell City, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 14-8.

The Wildcats (1-16) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph's (Plaucheville, LA). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, St. Joseph's was nudged by Avoyelles (Moreauville, LA), 46-43, in a non-league contest.
