Louisiana High School Basketball - Jena can't hold off Montgomery

(November 13, 2007: Montgomery, LA 71454) The Montgomery Tigers basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Jena Giants to 39 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Caldwell Parish for a non-league contest on Friday, November 16. Montgomery will meet a Spartans team coming off a 56-28 non-league win over Bolton (Alexandria, LA). The Spartans record now stands at 1-0.

The Giants (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Buckeye (Buckeye, LA). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Buckeye nudged Elizabeth (Elizabeth, LA), 62-59, in a non-league contest.
