Louisiana High School Basketball - Hornbeck fells Evans

(January 15, 2008: Hornbeck, LA 71439) Hornbeck Hornets (Hornbeck, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Evans Eagles (Evans, LA), 61-51 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hornbeck upgrades its record to 18-12 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Simpson (Simpson, LA) to play the Broncos in a B District 5 bout on Friday, January 18. The Broncos come into the bout with a record of 20-11. Simpson lost 53-44 in their recent league bout against Pitkin (Pitkin, LA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Anacoco Indians (Anacoco, LA) in a B District 5 bout, on Friday, January 18. Evans will attempt to upgrade on its 5-20 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 14-14 record after their 43-21 league win over Hicks (Leesville, LA).
