Illinois High School Basketball - Lincoln-Way Central falls to Lockport
(January 18, 2008: New Lenox, IL 60451) The Lockport Porters basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Lincoln-Way Central Knights to 45 in the Porters league triumph on Friday.
The Porters now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Aurora West for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 19. Lockport will meet a Blackhawks team coming off a 46-43 league win over Glenbard East (Lombard, IL). The Blackhawks record now stands at 14-2.
The Knights (4-13) will now prepare for their contest against Sandburg (Orland Park, IL). The Eagles enter the SouthWest Suburban contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Sandburg ran past Lincoln-Way East (Frankfort, IL), 72-46, in a league match.
