Illinois High School Basketball - St. Ignatius prevails Loyola Academy
(January 4, 2008: Chicago, IL 60608) St. Ignatius Wolfpack (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Loyola Academy Ramblers (Wilmette, IL), 62-44 in a league bout.
With the win, St. Ignatius upgrades its record to 12-1 on the season. The Wolfpack travel to Fenwick (Oak Park, IL) to play the Friars in a Chicago Catholic - North bout on Friday, January 11. The Friars go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Fenwick won 72-61 in their recent non-league bout against Morton (Cicero, IL)
Next up, the Ramblers play the Leo Lions (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Catholic - North bout, on Friday, January 11. Loyola Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 12-4 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 11-2 record after their 59-34 league win over St. Laurence (Burbank, IL).
