(December 28, 2007: Washington, IL 61571) Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Washington Panthers (Washington, IL) and the visiting Quincy Blue Devils (Quincy, IL), saw Washington's basketball squad knock off Quincy by a score of 63-46.
With the victory, Washington improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Limestone (Bartonville, IL) to battle the Rockets in a Mid-Illini challenge on Friday, January 4. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 9-2. Limestone won 52-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Hersey (Arlington Heights, IL)
Next up, the Blue Devils battle the Pekin Dragons (Pekin, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 29. Quincy will attempt to improve on its 8-3 season record. The Dragons come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 69-49 non-league loss to Boylan (Rockford, IL).
