Illinois High School Basketball - Highland Park falls to Glenbrook North
(February 1, 2008: Highland Park, IL 60035) The Glenbrook North Spartans basketball team scored 45 points and held the host Highland Park Giants to 31 in the Spartans league triumph on Friday.
The Spartans now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Proviso East for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 2. Glenbrook North will meet a Pirates team coming off a 77-74 league win over Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL). The Pirates record now stands at 9-13.
The Giants (16-3) will now prepare for their contest against Oak Park-River Forest (Oak Park, IL). The Huskies enter the non-league contest with a 18-4 record. In their last contest, Oak Park-River Forest ran past Downers Grove North (Downers Grove, IL), 61-41, in a league contest.
