Illinois High School Basketball - Lockport topples Downers Grove North
(January 5, 2008: Downers Grove, IL 60515) In Saturday's non-league outing, the Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) basketball squad beat the host Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL), by a margin of 57-44.
The Porters (11-2) will now prepare for their outing against Stagg (Palos Hills, IL). The Chargers go into the SouthWest Suburban outing with a 10-5 record. In their last outing, Stagg gained a win over Lemont (Lemont, IL), 53-42, in a non-league outing.
The Trojans now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Proviso West for a West Suburban - Silver outing on Friday, January 11. Downers Grove North will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 50-49 non-league win over Lake Park (Roselle, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 3-12.
