Illinois High School Basketball - Morgan Park overwhelmed by Simeon
(January 17, 2008: Chicago, IL 60643) The Simeon Wolverines basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the host Morgan Park Mustangs to 28 in the Wolverines league victory on Thursday.
The Wolverines now sport a 15-2 record. They play next when they travel to Webster Groves for a non-league contest on Sunday, January 20. Simeon will meet a Statesmen team coming off a 71-33 league win over Eureka (Eureka, MO). The Statesmen record now stands at 16-1.
The Mustangs (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Forest Academy (Lake Forest, IL). The Caxys come into the non-league contest with a 10-2 record. In their last contest, Lake Forest Academy trounced Luther North (Chicago, IL), 74-48, in a non-league contest.
