Wisconsin High School Basketball - Washington holds off Von Steuben
(January 21, 2008: Milwaukee, WI 53210) Washington Purgolders (Milwaukee, WI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Von Steuben Panthers (Chicago, IL), 48-45 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Washington upgrades its record to 13-0 on the campaign. The Purgolders travel to North (Milwaukee, WI) to play the Blue Devils in a Milwaukee City bout on Friday, January 25. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a record of 8-10. North won 90-35 in their recent non-league bout against Wisconsin Career Academy (Milwaukee, WI)
Next up, the Panthers play the Taft Eagles (Chicago, IL) in a Chicago Public Red - North bout, on Wednesday, January 23. Von Steuben will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 3-17 record after their 91-63 league loss to Senn (Chicago, IL).
