Illinois High School Basketball - Lockport crushes Lincoln-Way East
(February 1, 2008: Lockport, IL 60441) Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lincoln-Way East Griffins (Frankfort, IL), 61-34 in a league bout.
With the win, Lockport upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Porters host Bolingbrook (Bolingbrook, IL) to encounter the Raiders in a SouthWest Suburban bout on Tuesday, February 5. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 16-5. Bolingbrook lost 72-59 in their recent league game against Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL)
With the defeat, Lincoln-Way East moves to 11-10 on the year. The Griffins travel to Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL) to face the Celtics in a non-league game on Tuesday, February 12. The Celtics enter the game with a record of 9-12. Providence Catholic lost 63-56 in their recent non-league game against Leo (Chicago, IL)
