Illinois High School Basketball - Joliet falls to Lockport
(January 4, 2008: Lockport, IL 60441) The Lockport Porters basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Joliet Steelmen to 56 in the Porters league triumph on Friday.
The Porters now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Downers Grove North for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 5. Lockport will meet a Trojans team coming off a 71-60 non-league loss to Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 8-8.
The Steelmen (7-9) will now prepare for their contest against Plainfield South (Plainfield, IL). The Cougars enter the non-league contest with a 6-7 record. In their last contest, Plainfield South was defeated by Oswego East (Oswego, IL), 66-42, in a league contest.
