Illinois High School Basketball - Glenbrook North holds off Maine West
(January 11, 2008: Northbrook, IL 60062) Glenbrook North Spartans (Northbrook, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Maine West Warriors (Des Plaines, IL), 58-55 in a league bout.
With the victory, Glenbrook North upgrades its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Spartans host Niles North (Skokie, IL) to play the Vikings in a Central Suburban - North bout on Friday, January 18. The Vikings come into the bout with a record of 5-9. Niles North lost 52-35 in their recent non-league bout against Elgin (Elgin, IL)
Next up, the Warriors play the Deerfield Warriors (Deerfield, IL) in a Central Suburban - North bout, on Friday, January 18. Maine West will attempt to upgrade on its 5-13 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 46-31 league loss to Highland Park (Highland Park, IL).
