Illinois High School Basketball - Bishop McNamara ripped by De La Salle
(December 21, 2007: Chicago, IL 60616) The De La Salle Meteors basketball team scored 71 points and held the visiting Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish to 35 in the Meteors league triumph on Friday.
The Meteors now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rock Island for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 26. De La Salle will meet a Rocks team coming off a 47-42 non-league win over Sterling (Sterling, IL). The Rocks record now stands at 2-7.
The Fightin' Irish (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Hononegah (Rockton, IL). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 8-0 record. In their last contest, Hononegah trounced Harlem (Machesney Park, IL), 66-56, in a league contest.
