Illinois High School Basketball - Evanston fells Stevenson
(January 5, 2008: Evanston, IL 60201) Evanston Wildkits (Evanston, IL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad overcome the visiting Stevenson Patriots (Lincolnshire, IL), 64-48 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Evanston upgrades its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Wildkits travel to St. Joseph (Westchester, IL) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 8. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 10-2. St. Joseph won 50-46 in their recent league bout against Benet Academy (Lisle, IL)
Next up, the Patriots play the Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL) in a North Suburban - Lake bout, on Friday, January 11. Stevenson will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Bears come into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 67-45 non-league win over Lanphier (Springfield, IL).
