Illinois High School Basketball - Glenbrook North prevails Maine East
(January 25, 2008: Park Ridge, IL 60068) Glenbrook North Spartans (Northbrook, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL), 47-38 in a league bout.
With the win, Glenbrook North upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Spartans travel to Highland Park (Highland Park, IL) to encounter the Giants in a Central Suburban - North bout on Friday, February 1. The Giants go into the bout with a record of 16-2. Highland Park won 43-37 in their recent league bout against Maine West (Des Plaines, IL)
Next up, the Blue Demons encounter the Ridgewood Rebels (Norridge, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 29. Maine East will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 13-4 record after their 52-42 league win over Fenton (Bensenville, IL).
