Illinois High School Basketball - De La Salle prevails Lake Forest Academy
(February 2, 2008: Chicago, IL 60616) De La Salle Meteors (Chicago, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lake Forest Academy Caxys (Lake Forest, IL), 64-56 in a non-league bout.
With the win, De La Salle upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Meteors travel to Mount Carmel (Chicago, IL) to play the Caravan in a Chicago Catholic - South bout on Tuesday, February 5. The Caravan go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Mount Carmel won 64-43 in their recent league bout against Bishop McNamara (Kankakee, IL)
Next up, the Caxys play the Latin Romans (Chicago, IL) in a Independent Schools bout, on Tuesday, February 5. Lake Forest Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 16-5 season record. The Romans go into the bout with a 10-14 record after their 48-43 league loss to University (Chicago, IL).
