Stout Named Master Photographer for Massachusetts/Rhode Island

CAMERON PARK, Calif. --- Jim Stout, a 30-year veteran of the newspaper business and avid high school sports photographer, has been named a MaxPreps Master Photographer for Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

A long-time resident and writer/photographer in Connecticut's Fairfield County, Stout will be relocating later this month to Eastham, Mass., on Cape Cod.

Stout has been a member of the MaxPreps Photographers' Network since the fall of 2005. Among the high school football games he covered in the past year for MaxPreps in Connecticut were the state Class MM championship game and the Thanksgiving Day rivalry game between Ludlowe and Warde.

"The growing awareness of MaxPreps and its fun-to-use site among high school players, coaches, and parents guarantees photographers a new and ever-expanding network of customers," Stout said. "Because the MaxPreps photo editing staff is constantly raising the bar on its quality standards, you know your work is going to be highly respected and artistically displayed."

Stout's main duties as a Master Photographer will be to coordinate photo coverage in Massachusetts and Rhode Island along with recruiting photographers from those states.

In addition to shooting regularly for the Danbury News-Times in Connecticut, Stout is the Northeast photographer/correspondent for D3Football.com and D3Hoops.com.

"We are thrilled to add someone with the experience and knowledge that Stout has for high school sports," MaxPreps Director of Photography Todd Shurtleff said. "He has a great passion for covering high school sports."

Stout is a member of SportsShooter.com and he maintains his own Web site: www.jmstout.org.
