Woodall Named National Coach Association Manager

CAMERON PARK, Calif. --- Al Woodall, a former NFL quarterback and member of the MaxPreps team since 2004, has been named the site's National Coach Association Manager.

"Coaches associations are a very important piece to the puzzle for MaxPreps," Vice President of Operations Chad Downey said. "Al's experience with football and marketing will allow him to unite associations from across the country."

Woodall has served as the Connecticut Territory Manager for the past two years, and will now shift his attention toward creating relationships with coaches associations throughout the country. He will also implement MaxPreps' Student-Athlete Scholarship Program.

A seven-year NFL veteran, Woodall spent the majority of his professional career as Joe Namath's backup with the New York Jets. As a senior at Duke University, he led the Atlantic Coast Conference in passing, and was taken in the second round of the 1969 draft.

After a 25-year career in the insurance and financial services business, Woodall's attention shifted back toward the gridiron. He spent eight years as a high school coach and one at the college level.
