Marpuri Named Master Photographer in Colorado

CAMERON PARK, Calif. --- Dennis Marpuri has been named as a MaxPreps Master Photographer for Colorado.

Marpuri has been a member of the MaxPreps Photographers' Network since the fall of 2005. Besides covering events in Colorado this past school year, he also photographed some games in California for MaxPreps.

Marpuri focused on three main sports in Colorado for MaxPreps - football, boys' basketball, and baseball. He covered the state high school football playoffs in Colorado, as well as covering the San Francisco Section football championship game on Thanksgiving in California.

Marpuri will coordinate MaxPreps' photo coverage in Colorado, as well as recruit new photographers in that state.

"Through MaxPreps I have gained more photographic skills and experience than I could have gotten from any photography class or workshop," said Marpuri, who lives just outside of Denver. "Working for MaxPreps is not a challenge . it is an adventure."

As a freelance photographer, Marpuri has covered many NCAA sporting events at three universities - Colorado, Denver and Colorado State.

"Dennis has played a vital role in helping MaxPreps expand our coverage in Colorado through his action photos," MaxPreps Director of Photography Todd Shurtleff said. "He's always willing to cover any high school sports event for us."
