MaxPreps, Inc. Football Competition for High School Athletes DENVER, Colo. --- Biokats Sports Networks (BSN) and West Coast Camps, Inc. (WCC) will be holding football competitions for high school players throughout July and August. The football competition is modeled after the NFL Combine where athletes go through drills to test their athletic skills, and will include one-on-one and seven-on-seven competition. Effective Aug. 1, 2006, the NCAA will no longer allow Division I college coaches to attend high school football combines. "This provides a problem for many of the kids," Biokats' Jerry Howard said. "The combine is one of the few places where kids get recognized by college scouts at all levels." "The great thing about our program is that we are bringing our competition to the players," WCC's Mark Grosz said. "Many players will pay thousands of dollars to travel across the country to attend a combine just to be seen by a college coach. By running multiple regional competitions in California, we are helping parents and athletes by saving them time and money." Biokats and West Coast Camps are committed to helping high school athletes and their parents navigate the confusing arena of college recruitment. In addition to football events, Biokats runs events in baseball, basketball, and volleyball across the country. These events have led to countless athletes getting scholarships and helping young students participate in athletics after high school.
