CBS MaxPreps, American Volleyball Coaches Association Announce Partnership CAMERON PARK, Calif. --- MaxPreps.com and the American Volleyball Coaches Association are teaming up in an effort to promote high school girls volleyball and highlight accomplishments of the nearly 400,000 student-athletes participating in the sport annually throughout the entire nation. "We are extremely proud to be affiliated with the American Volleyball Coaches Association," MaxPreps.com President Andy Beal said. "Their support of the sport of volleyball, particularly at the high school level, is unmatched and their objectives and mission make the AVCA and MaxPreps a perfect pairing." MaxPreps will sponsor the AVCA's annual High School Leadership meeting Dec. 13 in Sacramento, Calif., and promote the organization's Player of the Week programs in California, Michigan and Ohio. "This partnership is full of synergy," said AVCA Executive Director Kathy DeBoer, "Our goal of providing volleyball coaches with innovative options for improving their programs is ideally served by MaxPreps. The statistical support they provide is invaluable to our coaches and will promote our sport with the media." The AVCA, based in Lexington, Ky., will use results and statistics provided by MaxPreps to assist in its Player of the Week program and aid in the site's efforts to become America's resource for volleyball information. MaxPreps publishes schedules, scores and standings for each of the nearly 17,000 schools participating in girls volleyball across the country. MaxPreps also provides high school coaches with free team pages, statistical software and a variety of other free services. The American Volleyball Coaches Association is the national leader in supplying educational materials, creating media content, and providing recognition opportunities for coaches and players at all levels of the sport. The number of high school volleyball coaches that are members of the AVCA has doubled in the last year. |
