Congratulations to Brooke Sosa for being selected as the Player Of The Game against Mountain Vista.

Brooke scored two goals throughout the contest and her unbelievable work ethic forced a top notch side to turn over the ball near their back line on numerous occasions throughout the fixture. Brooke's first goal came in the first half as she pounced on a ball that was played in from a cross on a set piece. She showed great determination and reactions to put the ball in the back of the net. Brooke's second goal was an amazing solo effort. She reacted to a through ball played down the left side of the field and was able to free herself of a defender and slot in near post shot to tie the game up 2-2. A great performance that should fuel Brooke to great things in future matches.

    Player of the Game

Congratulations to #10 Brooke Sosa for being selected the Smoky Hill Girls Soccer Player of the Game.

It was a team effort but when you score the 2 goals and the game winning goal Brooke deserves POG. She hustled all game and was constantly attacking and working hard.

Shanna, Chandler, Britt, Syd, Stormi, & Rachael held down the midfield and worked the ball well. Maddie worked hard up front and should have had 2 goals. Emily, M Kay and Liv combined to limit the other team 5 shots on goal. This is our goal for every game and we had 2

20 shots on goal and thirty total in the game. The girls dominated possession and limited Horizons attack so I am very pleased with the results. It is a start and we have things to work on but I will take a hard fought win

coming from behind to take the victory. Great start to the season.

When you score the winning goal in OT you have to get POG. The team won the game. We could have played better but the thing is getting the win when you don't play your best.

So the team is growing toward being very good. Winning when not playing your best is a positive.
