There were 4 players who could have easily been awarded player of the game for this one, but what Debra did defensively was absolutely phenominal. She was the key factor in holding the number one scorer from the state of Florida to only 9 points (3/19 from the field). Debra finished the game with 14 points, 13 rebounds, 8 steals, 4 assists, 1 blk & only 1 TO!!!! Not a bad night for this young 13 yr old freshman... She play the majority of the 2nd half with 4 fouls but still managed to play aggresively and keep her composure. JOB WELL DONE!!!!!!!!
Debra Buggs broke out of her scoring slump with a very efficient night with limited minutes on the floor. Very proud to see her taking control of her game... She has been one of our top defensive players all year, going up against the top player from the other team almost every night...
Debra played with a lot of energy tonight on both ends of the floor. She lead a balanced according attack with 14 points, 7 assists, 5 rebound, 2 steals and took the teams first charge of the season. Debra played with confidence and composure. So proud of the maturity she's showing.
Debra stepped up again in the scoring category leading the team with 20 points on 9/17 shooting from the field. She also had 13 steals, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 blocked shot and her 1st TO of the season. Her growth over the past year has been a breath of fresh air for COLCA. She makes the right decisions on the court and protects the ball showing why she has over a 4.0 in the class room.
Coming off of a 4 game shooting slump, after suffering a concussion, Debra erupted for 22 points going 6/10 from 3-point range. Debra showed great pose throughout the contest on the floor and while on the bench. GREAT COME BACK!!!!!!!!
Debra shot was on point today dropping 21 points. 60% from 2pt range and 42% from 3 pt range.
Great bounce back game at the right time of the season (district semifinals) . Debra also finished with 5 rebounds, 1 block, 1 assist and 3 steals.
Debra provided us with an offensive spark on a down shooting night for the Lady Warriors. After falling behind early, Debra's long distance shooting (3 triples) got us back in the game with an opportunity to make a run hitting a buzzer beater 3 to end the 3rd quarter.
Debra playing her 1st game after suffering a shoulder separation less than 2 minutes into preseason came back and put in some quality minutes in tonight's win over Poinciana High School. She showed why she was our leading scorer last season putting in 15 points in limited minutes on the court. Adding 5 steals and a couple of offensive rebounds as well. Very good job young lady!
Debra came out of her shooting slump in a big way today. She poured in 19 points, hitting shots from all over the floor. More impressively for Debra was her rebounding. I challenged the players before the game and she responded with a season high 7 rebounds. Great job Debra!
Debra set new school records in points and 3 pointers with 9 threes and finishing with 32 points. Debra was assigned to the top scorer on the opposing team and held her to a season low and still produced with a monster offensive game. Great job Debra!!!
Game high 29 points with 6 3's (5 in the 1st half). Debra played a great all around game tonight. Excellent work... Keep up the great work!!!
Debra Buggs set two new team records tonight. 10 three pointers and finished with 38 points. Great momentum headed into Lakeland for the State Final Four!!!! Amazing job!!!!!!
Debra Buggs continued her hot shooting from deep and lead all scorers all day long in the State semi-finals game. Debra hit seven 3's that has push her to 77 for the season and only 24 points away from 800 career points. She has gotten hot at the best time of the year and she is making it look easy.
After playing in the shadow of her older sister, Debra Buggs, finally had her break out season. Debra lead the Lady Warriors into the state championship game with dagger after dagger from down town. From mid-season to the end, averaging right at 20 points per game, and solid defense along the way. This has earn Debra the distinct honor of being named Regional MVP and 2A Player of the Year. We are so proud of everything that Debra has contributed to our team this season, and the the bright future that she has in front of her. She did all of this while maintaining the highest GPA on the team since entering high school.
