Jenna Schumacher has been named player of the year. "Congratulations to Jenna Schumacher for being selected East Lyme High School Girls Basketball Player of the Year. Schumacher scored her 1000th point early this season, and finished her career as the all-time leading scorer in East Lyme Girls Basketball History (1278 points). As a senior captain, Schumacher averaged 14.1 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game, leading the Lady Vikings in all three categories. Signature performances include 24 points, 15 rebounds and three assists against Norwich Free Academy, 18 points, nine rebounds and three steals versus Ledyard High School, 26 points, five rebounds, three assists and five steals against Lyman Memorial High School, and 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals versus New London High School. Jenna will be attending Amherst College this fall where she will continue her basketball career with one of the top D-3 Programs in the Country. "
