    Kayla Varner has been named player of the year. "Kayla ends her career as a Gator with an impressive resume that will stand out as one of the greatest in the history of Green Valley soccer. The senior striker has been a captain for 3 years, and finished the season with 23 goals and 22 assists. She scored 111 goals and added 83 assists over the course of her 4 years at Green Valley. Kayla has won back to back sunrise region most valuable player awards, been named an NSCAA/Adidas All-American, Nevada Player of the Year, and led the team in scoring and assists each of the last 3 seasons. Kayla's leadership and skill on the field has helped Green Valley to the playoffs in each of her four seasons, winning three southeast division titles, two sunrise conference titles, and the 2011 Nevada state championship. "
