Taylor Barrett lead her team to another victory by scoring 6 goals. Taylor amazed and inspired her team with an extremely difficult waist high rebound catch and shoot, all before her defender and the goalkeeper could even get a hand up.
Taylor Barrett raised the level of expectations today. In an unprecedented performance Taylor Barrett took the outcome of this game into her hands almost single-handedly. Taylor Barrett won all 4 sprints at the beginning of each period. Most of her 6 goals came unassisted from teammates as stripped the ball from Birmingham's offense 8 times, driving directly to the goal each time, determined to win. Taylor Barrett displayed effective levels of communication with her team, leading to the shut down of many of Birmingham's offensive plays. Job well done.
Today Taylor Barrett scored 5 goals despite a powerful Eagle Rock defense whose primary objective seemed to be shutting her down. She remained positive although her team lost by 16 points. Taylor also demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and played leaving no regrets behind in the final game of her high school career.
