Yasmin Perez has been named player of the year. "Yasmin Perez finished a historic high school career with an average of over 16 PPG, over 6 APG & Over 10 SPG. Averaging a double double, while leading the state in steals. With a total of 12 player of the game awards this season she helped lead CCA to another State Championship appearance for the second year in a row. Perez graduates as Calvary's valedictorian with an impressive 4.64 GPA while setting school records with over 2000 career points, over 600 assists & over 1350 career steals . Perez was also honored with a McDonald's All American Nomination, she became an Esmark High School All-American & earned a division 1 athletic scholarship from Southland Conference Champion Nicholls State University. Yasmin finished her high school career as CCA's all time scoring leader, steals leader & assists leader. For an outstanding senior season & historic record setting career, division 1 athletic scholarship, All-American award, Yasmin Perez is the MAXPREPS Player of the Year. "

Yasmin Perez has been named player of the year. "Yasmin Perez is this season's MVP making major contributions to the Calvary Basketball team while leading the program to a historical season, reaching the State Championship Game. With a very tough schedule the Lady Lions finished with a 18-9 record as Perez once again leads the team in points per game, steals per game and assists per game. As one of the top defensive players in the country Perez also leads the State in total steals. With a solid 4.6 GPA she continues to reflect the ideal student athlete. Yasmin Perez continues to garner countless division 1 interest as a highly recruited natural born point elite Point Guard. Perez is a very quick, tough, vocal leader who strives for success as one of the country's premier point guard. For all of the aforementioned qualities and accomplishments both academically and athletically Yasmin Perez has been selected as the MAXPREPS PLAYER OF THE YEAR. "

Points per game, assists per game and steals per game. In addition Perez also leads the team in field goals percentage averaging..... 60%. She has proven solid balance in academic performance and athletics reflecting both key aspects of the ideal student athlete. Yasmin Perez entrusted to lead warm-ups, drills and even strategy shifts or adjustments during game situations. Perez demonstrates a strong ability to foster growth in her teammates and raise the level of performance in others. She has earned a reputation of a hard-working, trustworthy and motivated individual. She is clearly an elite division 1 prospect who can dominate the Point Guard position. For outstanding performance in the classroom with a 4.6 GPA and amazing performance on the court, hitting a team high 8 double doubles Yasmin Perez has hereby earned the MAXPREPS Player of the Year honors"
